TOFA is an allosteric inhibitor of acetyl-CoA carboxylase-α (ACCA). Inside the cell, TOFA is converted to TOFyl-CoA (5-tetradecyloxy-2-furoyl-CoA), exerting an allosteric inhibition on ACCA. TOFA blocks fatty acid synthesis and induces cell death in a dose-dependent manner.

1.25mg/ml (3.85mM) Taking the 1 mL working solution as an example, add 50 μL of 25 mg/ml clear DMSO stock solution to 950 μL of corn oil and mix evenly. The mixed solution should be used immediately for optimal results.

0.3mg/ml (0.92mM) Taking the 1 mL working solution as an example, add 50 μL of 6 mg/ml clarified DMSO stock solution to 400 μL of PEG300, mix evenly to clarify it; add 50 μL of Tween80 to the above system, mix evenly to clarify; then continue to add 500 μL of ddH2O to adjust the volume to 1 mL. The mixed solution should be used immediately for optimal results.

0.5mg/ml (1.54mM) Taking the 1 mL working solution as an example, add 100μL of clarified DMSO stock solution of 5mg/ml to 400μL of PEG300, mix evenly to clarify it; add 50μL of Tween80 to the above system, mix evenly to clarify it; then continue to add 450μL of ddH2O to adjust the volume to 1mL. The mixed solution should be used immediately for optimal results.
