CHD1 Rabbit mAb

CHD1 (Chromodomain Helicase DNA Binding Protein 1) is a chromatin remodeler that regulates transcription, replication, and DNA repair by repositioning nucleosomes and altering chromatin structure. Structurally, it contains tandem chromodomains that interact with histone tails, a bilobal ATPase motor domain that hydrolyzes ATP for chromatin remodeling, and SANT-SLIDE DNA-binding domains that recognize AT-rich DNA motifs. CHD1 is widely expressed across eukaryotic tissues and plays a crucial role in maintaining pluripotency, facilitating RNA polymerase II transcription, and ensuring chromatin stability. Its dysregulation is implicated in cancer, particularly prostate tumors, where CHD1 loss leads to DNA repair defects and transcriptional plasticity, making it a potential therapeutic target in oncology and regenerative medicine.
